Legend Great Back on His Feet
After a tragic accident in December, one of the all-time greats is on a quick road to recovery. Roy Jacobs II, who played for the Legend from 1998 to 2004, is battling injuries suffered in a car accident. Jacobs spent 2005 as the first base coach for the Washington Wildthings of the Minor League Independant League. Roy is the all-time hits leader for the Legend and still contributes off the field to this day.

Ohio Legend updates name to Canton-Akron Legend.
With an effort to identify with a specific location the Legend has changed their name again. The team originated in Louisville, Ohio and for the first eight years of their existance when they were known as the Louisville Legend. Last season the team became the Ohio Legend due to the fact that they were no longer playing their home games in Louisville. For the past two seasons the Legend has been playing their home games at Malone College. This season the Legend is excited to announce that they will now be known as the Canton-Akron Legend, a name that is here to stay.
